Overwatch 2 - Peru

Similar to the JunkCity Map, I was rolled onto Peru a couple months in advance so that I could do all the preproduction setup as well as build the "Snowball" for the rest of the team. Typically I would build a "Beautiful Corner" with a Style-Guide building in it along with all the base trims and tileable textures we would need to hit the ground running once other artists joined me. Once the other artists were rolled onto Peru, I was responsible for maintaining quality and helping drive vision via feedback paintovers. In fact, some of the areas shown in this post were primarily built by other artists, I simply provided direction and feedback. Peter Lee was Art Director and the majority of the concepts were done by Ava Crutchley. Peru was a particularly wild production and this map was touched by many incredibly talented developers! Big shout out to Marie Lazar, Courtney Vogel, and Mike Hardison who were on the map from start to finish! Also huge thanks to all the talented artists at RedHill Studios for their help! And thank you to everyone who worked on this map, it turned out great and Im so grateful to have been able to contribute!

One of my tasks was building the Spawn Building Exterior (Seen here) and the interior. The concept for this structure was done by Ava Crutchley

This is the spawn interior I was able to build. Lighting by Mike Hardison and concept by Ava Crutchley.

For this map we wanted to capture the unique style of the stonework found in places like Machu Piccu, so I got the awesome opportunity to craft that texture kit!

During the production of this map i did many feedback paint overs for the team, this is an example of one i did for the waterwheel. The original sketch for the Waterwheel was done by Ava Crutchley.
